A stone is a stone. A lid is a lid. That’s a point of view of adults. The way things look is just the way they are.

What about babies?

Do they look things in the same way as adults do?

Here is a story.

This is when my son was 1 year old.

There is a statue of frog in my garden. On day, he was staring at it. He seemed to look hard on the frog’s eyes.

「They are froggy’s eyes.」 I said to him.

Then, he looked at me and showed me his BABYSIGN.

「Glasses.」

「Glasses⁉︎」

I replied.

I knelt down and looked at the frog’s eyes with him.

「You are right! I see glasses!」

What he meant was that there was a shape of a circle around frog’s each eye. They look like a pair of glasses.

What an imagination!

That was something that I had never noticed!

After that, the frog looks like he wears glasses.

Likewise, babies show a different point of view that leads you to an another way of thinking. They have such a pure immagingtion! Thanks to BABYSIGNS, it is possible for babies to express their way of thinking.
