赤ちゃんのコミュニケーションは、

それだけで変わります。

Just one sign can make a difference in a baby’s ability to communicate.

　私のベビーサイン教室にての凄く凄く可愛らしいある1コマをご紹介。

One of the cutest moments in my baby sign language class is when a baby makes a sign, their eyes full of anticipation.

　ご褒美シールを貰ったベビーサイナー達、

ママと一緒にシールを貼ります。貼り終わると

ベビーサイナーは私の元に来て、

「1つのサイン」を見せるのです。

In my class, babies receive a prize sticker. I place it on their palms, and their moms help them stick it onto one of the materials. One baby came to me after he was done with it. Then, he made a sign and looked straight into my eyes.”

それは・・・【もっと】！

And that sign is ‘More.'”

私の目を見て【もっと】と、サインをします。

シールをおねだり！！

I could easily tell what he meant—he wanted another sticker!

What a sweet request!!

さっきシールをもらえたのが嬉しいから

もっとほしい！

その気持ちをサインで伝えているのです！

Even a 1-year-old baby tries to communicate by keeping eye contact with the person.

「シールが欲しいんだね！上手に言えたね！

いいよ！あげるね！」と言うと、

ベビーサイナーの目はキラキラ！伝わった！

と嬉しい気持ちが表情に溢れているのが

よく分かります。

「I understand what you want! You want another sticker, right? I can do that!」I said to him. That made him so happy, his eyes widened with excitement!

シールをまたペタッと手の甲に貼ると、

嬉しそうにママの元へ。

I put another sticker on his palm, and he happily went back to his mom. Likewise, just one sign can allow a baby to communicate with people, even outside the family.

家族以外の人でもこんな風に理解し合える、

サインがあるおかげでそんな経験を積む事が

できるのです。素敵ですね！

Such experiences are necessary to become a well-rounded individual. Babysign can make it happen!
