サインがあるからできるよ！！1歳児が起こしたある行動とは？

教室に入ってきた、Kくん（1歳6ヶ月）。

「おはよう！」と声をかけると必ずサインで応えてくれます。

【おはよう】。

「今日も上手にあいさつしてくれたねー！」と、

Kくん、Kくんママと私で

おしゃべりをしていた時に到着した、

クラスメイトのKちゃん（1歳5ヶ月）。

お友達のKくんはまた

【おはよう】

と、Kちゃんとママにも可愛らしくサインを　

見せてくれました。

その可愛さに、Kちゃんママも

「凄いね！上手だね！」

と、Kくんをたくさん褒めてくれました。

This is a story about two baby signers,
K-kun and K-chan.
Every time K-kun, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, came into the classroom, he always greeted us with a sign —
“Good morning!”
“Great job! You signed it so nicely!” I said to K-kun and his mom.
Just then, his classmate K-chan, a one-year-and-five-month-old girl, arrived with her mom.
K-kun looked at them and cheerfully made the “Good morning” sign again.
It was so adorable that K-chan’s mom smiled and said, “Wow! You’re so good at it!”
Everyone in the room couldn’t help but smile.

その様子を見ていた

Kちゃんは寝起きの表情。

そして、

「おうた歌うよー！」と、

みんなで輪になったその時、

眠そうだったKちゃんが

ママのお膝から離れ、

みんなの輪のど真ん中に座ったのです。

そして、サインをしました。

【おはよう】

その表情は、

「私もおはよう、って言えるんだよ！」と

言わんばかりにとても堂々と自信に

溢れています。

K-chan, who had just woken up in the car on the way, still looked a little sleepy.

When I said, “Let’s sing a song together!” everyone sat in a circle.
Then, to everyone’s surprise, K-chan quietly slipped off her mom’s lap and sat right in the middle of the circle.
She looked around with bright eyes and made the “Good morning” sign.
Her face was full of confidence, as if to say,
“See? I can say good morning too!”
みんなにあいさつしたい、

そんな気持ちを表現できるなんて、Kちゃんの行動に

みんな感動しました！

自分の言いたいことを、お友達も

お友達のママも分かってくれる。

もちろん、先生も！

ベビーサイン教室は

ママもお子様も、サインで通じ合える、

場所なんです。

小さなお子様でも

お互いを理解できる空間があるって

素敵なことですね！

Everyone was touched by how K-chan expressed her feeling —
she really wanted to greet everyone, just like K-kun!
Her sweet sign made us all smile and feel so moved.
With baby sign language, babies can share what they want to say,
and their friends, moms, and teachers can all understand them.
Thanks to baby sign, babies feel safe and connected,
knowing that their feelings are understood.
A baby sign class is such a precious place —
a space where even the smallest children and their moms
can truly understand each other.
Isn’t it wonderful that such warm communication can happen,
even without words?
