小さなサインが育てる、きょうだいの絆

A Small Sign That Builds a Sibling Bond

ベビーサイナーKくん、サインをたくさん

覚え、おうちでは、ママ、パパ、

お姉ちゃんとも上手にコミュニケーションします。

　そんな家族でのやりとりの中、ある日こんな

素敵な1場面がありました。

　A baby signer, K-kun, who is one year and eight months old, has learned many signs. At home, he communicates smoothly with his mom, dad, and older sister.

Among their daily family interactions, I would like to share one particularly heartwarming moment.

　ある日の食卓にて、お姉ちゃんが

Kくんにバナナを分けてくれました。

Kくんは、「ありがとう。」

お姉ちゃんは「どういたしまして。」

と会話をします。Kくんはまだおしゃべり前なので、2人の会話の手段はサイン。サインを上手に使いこなしお互いに気持ちを

伝え合います。そんな様子にママの心は

温かくなりました。

　One day at the breakfast table, K-kun’s older sister shared a piece of banana with him.

　K-kun signed, “Thank you,” and she replied with a sign, “You’re welcome.”

As they exchanged their feelings through signs, their mother felt her heart fill with warmth.

上のお子さんからすると、泣くのが手段の

赤ちゃんとの意思疎通は難しい時が

ありますよね。でも、サインがあれば

分かり合える。伝えあえる。

関わるのがより楽しくなる理由が

そこにはあるのです。ベビーサインは、

パパママだけでなく、兄弟姉妹との

絆を培うのにも大きな役割を果たします。

幼い子達がサインで分かり合おうとする様子は、

何よりも尊く可愛いものです。

　For older siblings, communicating with a baby—who often relies on crying—can sometimes feel challenging.

However, with baby signs, they can understand each other and truly connect.

That shared understanding makes interacting more enjoyable and meaningful.

　Baby signs not only strengthen communication between parents and children, but also play an important role in nurturing the bond between brothers and sisters.
