どうして電車とサインしたの？赤ちゃんの可愛い想像力

Through a Baby’s Imagination

ママからお伺いした、ベビーサイナーYくんの
可愛らしいエピソードをご紹介。

「有料駐車場の近くを車で通ったら
【電車】とサインしました。
でも、駅があったわけじゃないし、
どうしてかな？と思っていたら
はっと気付きました。
有料駐車場のバーを見ていたんです。
バーが踏切のバーみたい、
と言いたかったようで【電車】
と言っていました。私からすると
ただのバーだけど、そんな風に
想像を膨らませているなんて
ベビーサインがなければ気づけなかったです！」
そうなんです！サインがあるおかげで
何を考えているか気付ける。
我が子の心の中をのぞける！！
そんな風に思うと、ワクワクしませんか⁈

I heard an adorable story about baby signer Y-kun from his mom.
One day, as they were driving past a paid parking lot, Y-kun suddenly made the sign for [train].
There was no station nearby, and no train in sight.
His mom wondered why he had made that sign.
Then it suddenly dawned on her.
Y-kun had been looking at the parking gate bar.
It looked just like the crossing gate at a railroad!
He must have wanted to say,
“It looks like the bar at a train crossing!”
How amazing it is to see how imaginative little babies can be.
Baby signs make it possible for us to notice and understand their wonderful ideas.
